Services

The doctors of Maryland Foot & Ankle Associates treat all disorders of the foot and ankle, using the best technology available. From the simple problems such as trouble with the skin or nails to the most complicated trauma or reconstruction, you can count on us to offer the most comprehensive and up-to-date treatments.

ULTRASOUND

We use the latest technology to diagnose problems of the foot. Our Toshiba Nemio Ultrasound machine gives clear pictures of everything from the nerves, ligaments, tendons, and even joints as they move. When needed, we use ultrasound to insure that an injection is placed precisely where needed for optimal results. More information

DIABETIC FOOT CARE

Diabetes can be a very threatening diagnosis to those who fail to respect the foot problems it can cause. Our goal is to educate each patient about precautions, general foot care, and when they should be seen to prevent trouble. In some of the more complicated situations, our doctors can help to heal ulcers or correct many deformities of the foot and ankle that occur as diabetes progresses. More

SPORTS MEDICINE

Our doctors and/or their children are and have been competitive athletes. There are a significant number of sports injuries that can affect the foot and ankle. We understand the footcare needs of exercisers, from weekend warriors to the competitive athletes. Our knowledge of the training involved to excel in their sports, and of the causes and most up-to-date treatments of sports-related foot and ankle injuries, lets us help our athlete-patients both to recover quickly and to avoid future injuries. RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY OF THE FOOT AND ANKLE

Whether it's the need to fix a bent toe or bunion to the repair of a torn Achilles tendon or a fractured ankle, you can count on the doctors at Maryland Foot & Ankle Associates to be ready for the surgery you need. We have extensive training in the most up-to-date techniques in foot and ankle surgery to result in the quickest recovery possible. We perform our surgeries at Holy Cross Hospital, Laurel Regional Hospital, The Surgery Center of Maryland, and our own ambulatory surgery center, The Foot & Ankle Surgical Center. More

DERMATOLOGY

We treat all disorders of the skin and toenails. Advances in the treatment of fungal problems, non-healing ulcers, and corns and calluses now allow our patients to get cures for problems that previously were slow to heal or never fully resolved. More

ORTHOTIC SCANNING

Maryland Foot & Ankle Associates is one of the first practices in the area to incorporate the latest computer technology to fabricate orthotics (custom arch supports). We have partnered with PedAlign to offer our patients the most technologically advanced system available.

PULSED DYE LASER

We use the pulsed dye laser to treat several skin conditions from warts to port wine stains. This usually can be done without anesthesia and no disability.
